Mounts on an automotive parcel shelf were broken / unavailable from the manufacturer. NC Factory designed and 3D-printed retention brackets with hex inserts to put the part back in service without replacing the whole panel.
The need
On many vehicles, a small plastic hinge or retention part makes the parcel shelf unusable. Ordering the OEM part can be slow, expensive, or impossible. 3D printing can reproduce and reinforce the weak point.
